Vrooman Mansion is located just a 15-minute walk away from Downtown Bloomington, where visitors can explore a range of entertainment options, including theater, music and art.

The Rose Suite at Vrooman Mansion

The Rose Suite is a charming European-style room , popular among individuals and couples. The room is located on the 2nd floor of the mansion between the Master’s Chamber Room and Carl Vrooman Suite.

The Rose Suite has always been used as a guest room since the mansion was first built in 1869. It provides a peaceful and comfortable stay, with amenities such as a queen-size bed, writing desk, antique sitting couch, and private attached bath with a unique wooden-accented claw-foot tub/shower. The view to the east overlooks the original 1850s home of Eli Barber (who built the mansion), adding to the suite’s ambiance.

The Rose Suite is a perfect place for midweek or weekend getaways. Guests can explore the lost art of letter-writing at the desk, read a book by the window, or take a peaceful nap in the comfortable bed. Additionally, guests can ask about the Bath Package to relax and enjoy the adjoining private bath with its wooden accents on the tub. 

Our handmade, locally sourced organic bath package contains all the elements needed to create a pampering and relaxing experience. We have partnered with a local organic vendor, Wright Family Products, who hand makes each bath package specifically for our Vrooman guests. Experience a luxurious bath with soaking salts to soothe and relax your muscles, along with bubble bath, because bubbles just make everything better. Wash away your cares with a lavender essential oil infused bar soap and for an extra indulgence, you can shave with freshly whipped shaving butter. We’ve got your face covered as well with organic face wash and toner. Finish your experience with body butter that will leave your skin soft and well-nourished. Everything you need to have an incredible experience here and plenty to take home as well!

Gourmet Breakfast Included for Overnight Stays

At the Vrooman Mansion in Bloomington, Illinois, you can enjoy the freshest and finest breakfast items. Breakfast is typically served at the original Scott/Vrooman family dining room table between 8:00-9:30 a.m. You can choose to dine with other guests, have a separate table or staggered time, or even have breakfast on the mansion patio when the weather is just right.

Breakfast service begins with a glass of juice and a hot beverage, followed by a fresh seasonal fruit dish and a hot entrée of the day, which changes depending on the season’s available ingredients. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions so your gourmet breakfast experience can be tailored to your needs.

During the spring, you can expect creative and flavorful dishes using seasonal ingredients such as a banana split with Greek yogurt, fresh berries, and homemade granola, signature French toast with bananas, toffee, and salted caramel, a potato asparagus frittata, and sage sausage patties. The Vrooman Mansion does not provide a menu for you to choose from, but we create the best combinations of available ingredients to surprise you with a new gourmet experience.
