Relive a First-Class Lunch on the Titanic at Vrooman Mansion

The stories within the stories have kept this ship floating, a vivid part of history and imagination for more than 100 years. Think you’ve heard all the stories? If you haven’t heard The Tea Ladies recount tales from the doomed ship, then you certainly have not heard them all. Remedy that this year with lunch at the Café Parisien aboard the Titanic on Saturday, April 13.

Vrooman Mansion will host the event. A much larger affair than the lunch, the event starts with a cocktail party followed by a nine-course meal.  

The fascination with this period makes sense. Vrooman was an active home at the time, and the Scott family would likely have followed the news of the Titanic voyage and envied the adventure – up until the end. The mansion exudes authenticity. The décor and ambiance of a bygone era are as fresh today as in 1912.  In fact, the mansion is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, Vrooman has an easy task of creating a 1912 venue.

 

First-Class Lunch

A lunch replicating a first-class meal in the café will deposit 2019 diners in luxury and perfection. Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion. The Tea Ladies will be attired in the Victorian fashion of the day. After lunch, guests will be invited to participate as the ladies share stories of 17 survivors, from first class to working class.

Tickets are only $40 for the luncheon; for the Friday night dinner, tickets are $150 each. Part of the proceeds from both will go to Vrooman Mansion’s stained glass window refurbishing fund. Seating is limited, so learn more and make reservations soon.

    • Hi Stacey, We do have tickets available for the Titanic Dinner on April 12th. It will be a 7-9 course dinner with several wine pairings and a presentation from The Tea Ladies, Inc.
