Vrooman is my happy place! A favorite place for special life events and filled with incredible memories over a 17 yr period for me. The Julia Vrooman Suite

After visiting us for over 17 years, we’re sure that Michele has stayed in each of our 7 suites at some point! Most recently she stayed in the Julia Vrooman Suite which is located on the 2nd floor of the mansion at the end of the hallway. It’s located in the perfect spot to smell breakfast as it winds its way up the back staircase.

Julia’s Suite has a queen sized bed, sitting chairs, decorative fireplace, and beautiful natural light that makes the room glow. One of the windows overlooks the gardens, just begging you to step outside and enjoy the first floor patio.

This suite was named after one of the previous owners of the mansion, Julia (Scott) Vrooman. The suite down the hall is named after her husband Carl. Julia’s parents owned the mansion before her, and another room down the hall is named after her aunt Letitia.

Private Attached Bath

We have 7 suites at Vrooman Mansion, all with their own private bathroom. For the Julia Vrooman Suite, you’ll find a walk-in shower and an old-fashioned pull chain toilet. Some of our other suites boast a shower-tub combo, while the Carl Vrooman Suite has a vintage clawfoot tub with a shower handle. This means you can have your choice of the suite and bath combo that best fits your travel needs and preferences.

And each bath comes with amenities you’ve come to expect when you travel like a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even a makeup washcloth.

Gourmet Breakfast Included

From pancakes to french toast. From eggs benedict to quiche. Every guest gets to enjoy our gourmet breakfast included with their stay.

We do our best to use local and seasonal ingredients to create a unique experience for everyone. If you have allergies or specific dietary needs, please let us know so we can tailor your breakfast to you. And like Michele, if you’re littlest guests would prefer pancakes, let us know when you check in so they can be as amazed by the flavors as you are.

Michele’s 4 year old granddaughters refer to Vrooman Mansion as “the castle”, and understandably so with its high ceilings and grandiose foyer staircase. No matter how large it feels to us as adults, we can only imagine how tall it seems to them!

Regardless of which suite you choose to stay in overnight, there are multiple common spaces for you to enjoy. Play a board game in the parlor, listen to the piano in the music room, enjoy a book in the upper library nook, or have an intimate conversation on the blue couch in the room with a built-in wall safe from 1869.

Each of these spaces can also be rearranged for your next special event, whether that is a wedding ceremony and reception, retirement party, business meeting, or murder mystery dinner.
