“My sweetie John & I are in the Master’s Suite, enjoying the Christmas Tree decorated with postcards of Victorian angels. The entire house is alive with the spirit of joy and calm- a much needed respite from busy schedules. We have previously stayed in Julia’s room and on separate trips I’ve been also in Letitia’s room and the Rose room. I won’t stay anywhere else in this town. I can’t miss the comforting touches, the decor, the piano. B&B helper Brian played some impromptu tunes last night on the piano – a mini concert! Thanks Pam and Dana, for all you do here!”

Holiday Decor and Ambience
Every year the mansion is transformed to put our guests into the holiday spirit! Every room is decorated with its own Christmas Tree in a theme that matches the room’s decor.
You’ll discover beautiful garland, bows and vintage holiday items in every corner. Because we decorate for the holidays, we’re the perfect spot to host a holiday party or a winter wedding. There is no decorating (or clean up!) that you have to do. Just show up and enjoy every moment.
A common area on the 1st floor known as the “Safe Room” because of the historic built-in wall safe of Julia Scott, one of the original owners of the mansion.
The first floor parlor, an ideal spot for a wedding ceremony and commonly set up with table for receptions, showers, and parties.

The original dining room table of the mansion dating back to the late 1800s, with leaves to extend its length it has served US Presidents, Vice Presidents, foreign dignitaries, poets, actors, philanthropists and friends.
The Masters Chamber Room
Most recently Betsy and John stayed in The Masters Chamber Room. Located at the top of the foyer stairs on the second floor is a room filled with natural light and space. Perfect for an impressive holiday tree, but also this room is a favorite among bridal parties and photographers as the ideal spot to get ready for their wedding day, with the mirrored armoire providing unique angles for any Insta-worthy image.
Across the hall you’ll find the private bath for the Masters Chamber Room with a vintage clawfoot tub and shower combo, pull chain toilet and antique sink. All vintage elements lovingly cared for and in perfect working order for you.
The Julia Vrooman Suite
In a previous stay Betsy and John chose the Julia Vrooman Suite. Located at the end of the hall on the second floor, the vibrant blues and whites reflect the natural light in the morning, as you awake to the smell of your gourmet breakfast being prepared right below you. And this suite has a private attached bath with a walk-in shower.
Letitia’s Suite
As repeat guests, we’re not surprised that over the years Betsy and John have tried out nearly every room in the mansion! Letitia’s Suite is a two-room suite that has a private sitting room with a queen sleeper sofa in addition to the queen sized bed in the main room. The attached private bath has a luxurious all tile walk in shower with rain-style shower heads. You’ll want to take the longest shower of your life.
