After a 2.5 hour road trip from Milan, IL (near Davenport, Iowa) they indulged in the endless coffee, marveled at the opulence of the sheets and pillows, and experienced a gourmet breakfast when they chose to stay with us.

“We enjoyed our stay in this lovely suite. It was our first time here & we had an enjoyable time. The 2 lovely young ladies that were our hostesses were very sweet. The Keurig closet was perfect since we are coffee lovers. The decor is beautiful & charming. I’d love to come again & stay in Letitia’s Room or the Carriage House. Banana splits & turtle pancakes were a treat for breakfast. And we loved the pillows & sheets. Thank you for everything.”

The Carl Vrooman Suite with Private Sitting Room

Located on the 2nd floor of the mansion at the end of the hall, you’ll find the bright and spacious Carl Vrooman Suite.

The main bedroom has a masculine feel, with an immensely comfortable queen size bed, marble top dresser, and a closet with two robes for you to borrow. With a private sitting room, window bench and writing desk it’s the ideal spot for an extended stay. The sitting room also has a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests.

 

The attached private bathroom has a vintage pull chain toilet, and a clawfoot slipper tube with a handheld sprayer. This tub is perfectly complemented by our Bath Package add-on for a higher level of indulgence.

And just outside your sitting room door, is the infamous Keurig closet filled with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soda, as well as little snacks for those late night cravings or if you want a nibble before heading out to dinner. Take anything back to your suite and enjoy the view and time together.

Gourmet Breakfast for Every Overnight Guest

The staff of Vrooman Mansion take great pride in preparing and serving the finest and freshest breakfast items daily included with your overnight stay. Our full breakfast is generally served at chosen times between 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. during the week and on weekends at the original Scott/Vrooman family dining room table. Enjoy a fresh seasonal fruit dish, and then we’ll present you with the hot entrée of the day. If you let us know when making your reservation, we will try to accommodate dietary restrictions. We continually strive to meet and exceed your expectations.
