Come celebrate one of Illinois’ top commodities this summer at the Annual Sweet Corn Blues Festival in Uptown Normal, Illinois. During this two-day event held August 25 & 26, 2018, you will enjoy sidewalk sales, flea market vendors, antiques, arts, crafts, and live music! You’ll hear some of the best talent around, such as Memphis Blues vocalist Brandon Santini. This end of summer festival will offer something for everyone, including lots of sweet corn!
Imagine over 50,000 ears of fresh sweet corn prepared on the cob, in the kettle, and on the stick (corn dogs!). That’s 20 tons of sweet corn picked fresh from the Mendota, IL field. If eating corn on the cob is your forte, be sure to sign up for the sweet corn eating contest happening Sunday at 12:00 noon! Ears of corn will also be available to purchase for just 50 cents apiece or $4/dozen.
Be sure to book your guest room or suite ahead of time at the Vrooman Mansion, located only 9 minutes away from the Festival. You will love our tastefully decorated and comfortable accommodations, including a gourmet breakfast served in the dining room each morning! We’d be happy to help you plan your stay.
