23rd December – As I sit inside the Master Suite of this wonderful home, I can’t help but be brought back to the 1800s- every room is just wonderful! Our daughters are in Julia’s & Letitia’s Rooms while our oldest daughter will be using Carl’s Suite to get dressed for her wedding!

The house is so warm and cozy despite its enormity! The Christmas Trees in each room of the house are just exquisite! The aroma from the kitchen for breakfast just makes you want to hop out of bed & get there so you don’t miss a thing!

24th December – Wedding Day – Everything is perfect. The staff, the wonderful rooms, the atmosphere- it doesn’t get any better than this! We cannot express enough how wonderful, beautiful & a historic gem this house is!! You feel like you’re are home when you are here!

25th December – Christmas Day at Vrooman Mansion has been the BEST!! Thank you for welcoming us into your home- thank you for showing its history! Thank you for the wonderful food. You truly are the most outstanding place to stay, eat and be in Bloomington!!

The Master’s Chamber Room

At the top of the foyers stairs on the 2nd floor you’ll find a library and the beautiful Master’s Chamber Room with a queen sized bed, mirrored armoire, antique dresser, and ample natural light, ideal for wedding photos. Across the hall is a private bathroom with an antique tub and shower combo. View more photos of the room and bathroom before you book to make sure it fits your personality and preferences.

The Julia Vrooman Suite 

At the end of the hall on the second floor, next to the coveted Coffee Closet, and in the ideal location to smell the aroma from the kitchen below, is the gorgeous Julia Vrooman Suite. The attached private bath has a walk-in shower, and the queen size bed faces a beautiful mirrored armoire that bounces the bright light around room accentuating the vibrant blues. Though the fireplace is decorative, not functional, the high back chairs provide a perfect spot to read and relax.

Letitia’s Suite

This beautiful 2 room purple suite has a queen sized bed in the bedroom, and a queen sized pull out couch in the attached sitting room. Letitia’s Suite also includes an attached private bath and luxurious walk-in shower. The suite is named after Julia Vrooman’s Aunt Letitia. Letitia Green married Adlai Stevenson I who was the Vice President of the United States alongside Grover Cleveland.

Carl Vrooman Suite

At the end of the hall on the second floor is the Carl Vrooman Suite. The unique window bench and wall of tall windows in the sitting provide the ideal view of the grounds, which is especially gorgeous after a fresh snow. The room also has a queen size pull out couch and an attached private bath with a clawfoot tub. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed with an antique wooden foot and headboard, as well as a sitting chair and decorative fireplace.

The Foyer & Music Room

When you stay at Vrooman Mansion there are multitude of common areas for you to enjoy and experience including the grand foyer and staircase with our iconic stained glass windows. Whether you’re here for a wedding or a personal overnight stay, each room is available to you. Off of that main entrance you’ll see the gorgeous parlor and our music room with a player piano.
